Recently I have been inspired by my new favorite blog "A Holy Experience", by Ann Voskamp, to remind myself of the goodness of God in my life. It's so easy to be thankful for the big things- the things we are constantly asking and hoping for- but the everyday things, the things that we take for granted- are so easily forgotten.

It is my goal to be continuously reminding myself of the everyday things that I have to be thankful for, and the lessons that my God is so graciously teaching me.

This week I was reminded to be thankful for:

living in a country that gives women 50 weeks of maternity leave

a growing church family that is striving for deeper relationships

a crazy youth ministry

the look on my son's face when I walk in the room - pure joy

a husband that cares and is actively involved in our son's life

a dishwasher

people that take the first step with me, and draw me from my hermet like tendencies

the gift of flying home for Christmas to see family in Ontario

the calm that comes with a plan

discovering great new resources like, SheReadsTruth, A Holy Experience, and the teaching of Steven Furtick.

two vehicles.

living in an advanced technological society! it is so easy to capture all of my son's milestones.

a jolly jumper. it tires Bennett out, while providing entertainment for the whole family.

I am making it my goal to be ever searching for things to be thankful for. It seems so easy, right? But in a "drive thru" world, where everything we want or need seems to be at our finger tips, it's so easy to forget about the little things, and the One that provides them.
